Winchendon Day Activity Center
The Winchendon Day Activity Center (DAC) was established in 1977 through the collaborative efforts of the Bedford VA Community Residential Care Program (CRC), the Town of Winchendon, the Veteran's Advisory Committee, local veterans service organizations and the CRC Home Providers. The Center was developed to meet the needs of a large number of veterans residing in Community Residential Care Homes in the Greater Winchendon Area.

However, any veteran is eligible to participate in the program. A referral from their health care provider is needed to determine if their treatment goals can be achieved through the DAC Program. The Day Activity Center provides opportunities for re-socialization through various therapeutic recreational, vocational and activity based programs. The DAC programs are designed to provide a daily structure within a warm, accepting environment that encourages optimal individual growth and development.
