Making a Donation

Below is a sample of how you can help a Veteran through a generous donation.  For a complete list of donation needs; view our wish list and to assure the need still exists, please contact the Voluntary Service staff at 781-687-2352 prior to making a donation.

Monetary Donation

Please contact the Voluntary Service Office staff to discuss your donation.  Bedford VAMC can accept monetary donations in the form of a check, money order or cash.  Checks and money orders should be made out to Bedford VAMC Patient Programs.  Please indicate if the funds can be applied to any patient program or if you wish to earmark the funds for a specific program.

Clothing

All clothing, shoes, and hats must be cleaned and in good condition.  We only accept new undergarments and socks please.  Clothing donations will be acknowledged with a thank you letter to the donor. 

Comfort Items:

Personal Hygiene Items- Hand /body lotion, shaving cream, spray deodorant, toothpaste, talcum powder, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lip balm.

Miscellaneous Items- non-skid slippers, socks (white), prepaid phone cards, tote bags, stamps, writing paper and envelopes, twin size quilts and fleece blankets.

Recreation Items- Puzzles, reading materials, pencils, and tickets for entertainment & sporting events.

For all “other “material donations please contact the Voluntary Service Office staff to discuss your donation.  All material donations can be delivered to the Volunteer Office in Building #61 Room B09, Monday- Friday 8:30 am- 4:00 pm.  Your donations will be acknowledged with a thank you letter to the donor.  Please complete the donation form and submit the form and donation to Voluntary Service in Building 61, Room B09.
