Bedford Contributes to Housing First Videos

The VA National Center on Homelessness Among Veterans has developed a series of Housing First training videos they hope will assist VA staff with implementing Housing First at their medical center and in their community. Housing First, an evidence-based, low-barrier, supportive housing model that emphasizes permanent supportive housing to end homelessness. The 33% reduction in homelessness among veterans between January 2010 and January 2014 is evidence that the Housing First approach works.The videos have been disseminated through the SAMHSA technical assistance program. Bedford VA's Veterans and social workers are featured in some of these videos. Read more and see the videos here.
