Mental Health Intensive Case Management
The MHICM is a program serving veterans with psychiatric disabilities who sometimes find it difficult to stay in the community. The veterans served sometimes also struggle with alcohol or drug problems. The mission of the program is to provide state of the art, community-based care and to empower people to live at their greatest potential in the community. Home visits and other treatments are provided by a multidisciplinary team.

Q: Am I eligible for services?
A: If you are a veteran with a psychiatric disability who needs support to stay in the community and to avoid hospitalization, you might be eligible. Call us at (781) 687-2564 and we will talk.
Q: Who provides treatment?
A: The team includes case managers who are either nurses or psychology technicians, an occupational therapist, a psychiatrist, a psychologist, licensed mental health counselors, and a program assistant. Call us and we will give you their names and degrees.
Q: How is the quality of treatment?
A: We have been rated as among the best of the VA's 73 MHICM programs in terms of results, efficiency and quality of treatment. We also received great patient satisfaction ratings and great satisfaction ratings from veteran's significant others. We have been named a "Center of excellence" by the undersecretary of health. We also are CARF accredited.

Building 6 is at the VA Bedford Medical Center campus. If you take a left after the chapel and then immediately a sharp right, you will be able to go behind the buildings and park right outside building 6. There is a sign on the building's main entrance. Take the elevator up to the first floor, and you will be at the entrance to MHICM.
