The Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital located in Bedford, MA.  It includes a Veterans Community Care Center, Vietnam Veterans Outreach Center in Lowell, MA, and Veterans Day Activity Center in Winchendon, MA.  Bedford VA also has three Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in Lynn, Haverhill, and Gloucester.

Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Evening and weekend clinics are offered.

Waiting Areas

For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations. You may also want to review our Visiting Hours and Policies.


The Bedford VA Shuttle Service is operational Monday through Friday from 7am - 3pm.  Services are provided with pick up and deliver to Building 78, Building 2 Main Entrance, Building 4 --Lot 10, Building 17 - Lot 5, Parking Lot 2A and Parking Lot 2.  Our shuttle service is provided on a 12 passenger van in the cold weather months.  In the warm weather months an open air mini-tram is used as the shuttle vehicle.


You can now catch a ride to and from the Lowell VCCC.  You must be scheduled to utilize this new service.  Trips run at 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.   Please call (781) 687-2505 with questions. Seating is limited to scheduled Veterans.

Bedford VA Police operates a full-time Communications Center, located in Bldg. 78 in the main "crossroads" area. The Communications Center is staffed by dispatcher/operators, an information receptionist, and a program assistant. The Communications Center is the focal point for all hospital communications systems including telephone systems, intrusion alarms, fire alarms, and utility alarms.

A nondenominational chapel is located in Bldg. 81 on the first floor of the hospital. Protestant Worship Services and Catholic Mass are held on a regular basis. Please contact Chaplain Service at extension 781-687-2384 for additional information or to speak with one of our chaplains.
